Esquina Cantina
Round Corner Cantina sought Anonym’s expertise to undertake a transformative endeavor encompassing a full rebrand and extensive revitalization of their website, merchandise, packaging, point of sale assets, and the visual ambiance within the restaurant. I was assigned to take on the project as lead designer and art director. The primary objective was twofold: to discover a fresh, compelling name and to craft a new brand identity that would not only elevate the brand but also lay the foundation for future expansion and scalability to multiple locations nationwide.
My main focus for the new logo design was to infuse the brand with a profound sense of connection and authenticity, paying homage to the rich culinary heritage it embodies. Drawing inspiration from the gracefully curved architecture of Esquina Cantina's historical building, the logo design gracefully emulates organic and rounded elements. By capturing the essence of the brand's roots, the logo design beautifully reflects the historical significance and creates a visual representation that resonates with the brand's cuisine and ambiance.
During brand development I brought the clients ideas to life, creating a visual identity that echos the vibrant flavors and colors of traditional dishes from Oaxaca to Todos Santos in which their dishes are inspired from. While drawing inspiration from Henri Matisse I hand drew/painted visual elements that complemented the brand and made sure to intrigue the consumer and further hint at the handmade authentic heritage of Mexico. This project was truly a labor of my love for art, design, and branding. I was so inspired while crafting this identity, I created artwork that could be hung up in the restaurant and used throughout merchandise.
